I Santini Del Prete are two inseparable partnership, formed in 1992 by Franco Santini and Raimondo Del Prete and set to the complementarity of their strange names, but is only an outward sign of the consonance of their artistic project. This involves reversal of the relationship between art and everyday life for which (their craft railroad) enters the institutional art world and, secondly, artistic elements are found in every individual. Their research resulted in the non-art, which is not the rejection of art, but his other aspect, which communicates freely with the relationship it bears all the courage and creativity of denial.
I Santini Del Prete sono un inscindibile sodalizio a due, formato nel 1992 da Franco Santini e da Raimondo Del Prete e impostato sulla curiosa complementarità dei loro cognomi, che però è solo un segno esteriore della consonanza del loro progetto artistico. Questo consiste nel rovesciamento del rapporto arte-vita per cui la quotidianità (il loro mestiere di ferrovieri, per esempio) entra nel mondo istituzionale dell’arte e, d’altra parte, elementi di artisticità sono rinvenuti in ogni individuo. La loro ricerca approda alla non-arte, che non è il rifiuto dell’arte, bensì l’altro suo aspetto, che dialoga liberamente con essa portando nel rapporto tutto il coraggio e la creatività della negazione.
